Sumi-e painting

Sumi-e painting uses art to meditate and relax while painting the CHI of nature.  It was developed by the Chan Buddist Monks a thousand years ago.  It uses rice paper, bamboo brushes and ink.

Saturaday

Have a nice day!  Started off with a birdwalk at Audubon's Pickering Creek.  Saw 2 adult and 1 juvenille Bald Eagles, bluebirds, blue jays, blue heron, cardinal, ring-billed gull, red-bellied woodpeck, flicker, fish crow, turkey vulture, lots of whitetail deer, a fox, delmarva fox squirrel.  Went to breakfast at the Easton Dinner afterwards.  Stopped at the Robins Nest on the way home and got some plants.  Then did some scrapbooking.  Yesterday I submitted some photos to the National Wildlife refuge photo contest.  Hope you like them.

Feeling kind of lazy today.  Created a scrapbook page to post on big picture scrapbooking and a card for the house that stamps built.  Hope u like them!

Made some cards today

Today I made a few cards.  Some sympathy cards for Pets and a pet themed Thank you card.  see below. Also tried my new Electrolux steam washer for the first time since it was delivered on Thursday.  It really gets the clothes clean and uses less products like detergent, bleach and fabric softener.  The energy cost is suppose to only be $11 per year.  Packed up some housewares for the Purple Heart.  They are suppose to be picking up on my street tomorrow.  Last time I put a box of donations outside they never picked it up.  I hope they pickup this time!!  Had a piece of great Almond Bark tonight from Oh My Chocolate shop on Kent Island.  Delicious!  Watched the last episode of the New Jersey Housewives reunion Summer 2010.
